EOW Loans Update - february 12

Positive start of the year for the European Loan market with the ELLI posting +1.27% YTD. 

A new repricing wave is on the edge in the euro loan market. Supply of loans is healthy, with M&A and LBOs resuming from the low volumes of 2020 and with opportunistic repricing taking advantage of the liquidity stimulus.

In Europe, CLOs already started to reprice their liabilities and, as the number of new and repriced CLOs increases, the demand for euro loans is expected to surge. In the US, CLO supply already gathered momentum and new inflow in loan funds driven by inflation risk and economic growth is boosting the demand for loans.
